Project overview and Task

This project showcases my expertise in designing bespoke furniture pieces tailored to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of a modern residential space. The goal was to create pieces that seamlessly integrate into the interior design while addressing the client’s specific needs for storage and style. Below are the highlights of the custom furniture I designed for this project, including precise dimensions and thoughtful detailing.

1. Wall-Fitted Shelf Design

A minimalist yet highly functional wall-fitted shelf crafted to maximize vertical storage. Designed with a blend of aesthetics and utility, the piece harmonizes with the surrounding decor.

Dimensions: 3150mm (H) x 1730mm (W) x 270mm (D)
Material: Engineered wood with a natural oak.
Features: Fitted shelves with concealed brackets for a floating appearance.
This shelf provides ample space for books, decorative items, and daily essentials, creating a focal point in the living area.

 

2. Wall-Fitted Sliding Cupboard Design

A sleek, space-saving solution that combines storage efficiency with contemporary design.

Dimensions: 775mm (H) x 3495 (W) x 450mm (D), 30mm (Door thickness)
Features: Internal compartments include pull-out drawers, and adjustable shelving for versatile organization.
The sliding doors ensure smooth operation and add a modern touch, making it ideal for compact spaces.

 

3. Console Design

A refined console table designed for the entryway, adding a functional and stylish element to the space.

Dimensions: 750mm (H) x 2500mm (W) x 540mm (D)
Material: Oak wood with black square knobs and a matte finish.
Features: Includes soft-close drawers for concealed storage.
The console’s clean lines and warm wood tone create an inviting first impression.

 

4. Wood Log Coffee Table Design

A statement piece that combines rustic charm with modern functionality.

Dimensions: 330mm (H) x 1190mm (Diameter) x 1190mm (Depth)
Material: Solid teak wood with a natural finish, showcasing the organic grain and texture of the log.
Features: The circular top and sturdy base ensure stability and durability while preserving the raw, natural beauty of the wood.
This coffee table serves as a conversation starter and a practical centerpiece in the living room.

 

Design Approach

Every furniture piece in this project was custom-designed to complement the home’s architecture and meet the client’s lifestyle requirements. Special attention was given to selecting premium materials and ensuring meticulous detailing, resulting in designs that are both timeless and functional.
